Final for period 7

Final for period 2

Runner up for Prom Queen
For this project, Joanne, Mac and I teamed up to create a flyrer for the contestents running for prom queen. First we had to track down each runner-up and and then have them pose with their posters in order to show their campaign. Once we had their photographs we sort of interviewed them and asked them why they wanted to be prom queen. This flyer would allow other students to see who they were voting for and it would let them get an idea of why each person is running.

Final period 1

The Bacado
For this image, Joanne and I wanted to re-create one of our favorite sandwiches. We wanted to capture the simplicity of the sandwich but at the same time we wanted to emphasize the elements. Beneath the toasted white bread you see the protruding avocado, alfalfa, tomatoes and the crispy bacon. Simple ingredients but yet so delicious.

Description of work

My theme is representing native plants/flowers of San Diego and how they are disappearing from today's society. If you think about it and do a little research, you'll find that most of the plants around us today are not native. The goal of my series is to bring attention the this situation.

The central idea of these images is to draw attention to a native flower to san diego. The first image shows the flower in its natural being, the second image shows it torn away like a puzzle thats missing pieces, and finally the third image shows the flower distorted leaving an impression of pain on the viewer.
